START/FINISH – Saxton Field all-weather track

  • Event suitable for all, beginners and recreational athletes to serious competitors
  • Medals to all finishers
  • Prize giving Saxton Pavilion at start/finish line (12.30pm approx)
  • Spot Prizes – all competitors are eligible for spot prizes.
  • 1st place trophies for each age group for Half Marathon & 10km. First place getters only in the 5km & 2.5km Fun Run & Walk.
  • Three drink stations on half marathon course & One on 10km course. No drink stations on 5km, 2.5km.
  • 90% of course on safe walkways with stunning vistas across Waimea Inlet.
  • Limited showers available at venue after the race.

All courses start & finish at the all-weather track Saxton Field, Stoke.

Late Entries: Entries after the Friday 25th October will incur a late entry fee.

Confirmation: Once entered entrants will receive entry information and a GST receipt via email. Please fill out the email address clearly.

All competitors will receive a timing chip in their race pack & this must be returned at the finish line or you will receive an invoice in the mail for $20.

NOTE – RACE PACKS

Note new pick for race packs, now available at Saxton Pavilion, Saxton Field (race venue) on Friday 02 November 3.00pm – 5.30pm and Saturday 3 November 9.00am – 4.00pm

Out of town competitors can pick up their race packs from the start venue from 7.00am on race day

NO ROAD CLOSURES

Please be aware that all roads & walkways will remain open. You must obey all road rules at all times and adhere to all instructions and directions by the marshals and event signage.

RULES

  • All competitors will receive a timing chip in their race pack this chip must be attached to one of your shoes (cannot be carried in pocket) at the end of the race this must be returned at the finish line or you will receive an invoice in the mail for $20.
  • Race numbers must be worn on the front chest area of the top you are wearing for the event and must be visible at all times. Please do not alter them.
  • Bikes, roller blades, skateboards and dogs will not be permitted.
  • Baby Buggies are OK and wheel chairs are OK on 10km, 5km & 2.5km but not suitable for half marathon
  • Competitors must not be accompanied by anyone who is not officially entered in the event.
  • Entrants who have registered to walk must walk.
  • No listening devices allowed for safety reasons.
  • Make sure they stay on the marked tracks for the various courses and always to the left and where instructed single file on narrow parts of the walkways.
