START/FINISH – Suburbs Football Pavilion

  • Event suitable for all, beginners and recreational athletes to serious competitors

  • Prize giving at Suburbs Football Club Rooms, Saxton Field at the finish line after 5km & 2.5km events finish (12.15pm approx)

  • Spot Prizes – all competitors are eligible for spot prizes

    We reserve the right to restrict under-18s from alcoholic prizes and the major prizes

  • 1st place trophies for men, women runners & walkers for Half Marathon & 10km. First 3 place getters only in the 5km & 2.5km Fun Run/Walk

  • Three drink stations on half marathon course & one on 10km course. No drink stations on 5km and 2.5km

  • 90% of course on safe walkways with stunning vistas across the Waimea Inlet

  • Limited showers are available at venue the after the race

  • Early Bird Discount - $15.00 off half marathon & 10km entries until 30 April

  • Half Marathon Run/Walk 21.1km – $85 ($10 discount for 19 and under)

  • 10km Run/Walk 10km – $65 ($10 discount for 19 & under)

  • Fun Run Run/Walk 5km – $20

  • Fun Run Run/Walk 2.5km – $10

    Note no credit card surcharge on this event

All courses start & finish at the Suburbs Football Pavilion, Saxton Field

Late Entries: Entries after the Monday 28 October may incur a late entry fee.

Confirmation: Once entered entrants will receive entry confirmation via email. Please fill out the email address clearly.

A cancellation fee of $15.00 applies for half marathon and 10km events, no refunds for 5km & 2.5km

NOTE: no refunds for any events after Sunday 20 October 2024

If the event cannot be held due to any reason the organisers reserve the right to either postpone to a later suitable date or if cancelled all entries roll over to November 2025. NOTE: No refund policy applies.

  • Half Marathon Walk 21.1km – 7.30am

  • Half Marathon Run 21.1km – 8.15am

  • 10km Run/Walk – 9.00am

  • Fun Run Run/Walk 5km – 11.00am

  • Fun Run Run/Walk 2.5km – 11.00am

All competitors will receive a race number & timing chip in their race pack. The chip must be returned at the finish line or you will receive an invoice in the mail for $20.

RACE PACKS

Race packs will be available at the race venue Suburbs Football Pavilion, Saxton Field on Friday 1 November 3.00pm – 5.30pm and Saturday 2 November 9.00am – 3.30pm

Out of town competitors can pick up their race packs from the start venue from 7.00am on race day

NO ROAD CLOSURES

Please be aware that all roads & walkways will remain open. You must obey all road rules at all times and adhere to all instructions and directions by the marshals and event signage.

RULES

  • All competitors will receive a timing chip in their race pack this chip must be attached to one of your shoes (cannot be carried in a pocket) at the end of the race this must be returned at the finish line or you will receive an invoice in the mail for $20.

  • Race numbers must be worn on the front chest area of the top you are wearing for the event and must be visible at all times. Please do not alter them.

  • Bikes, rollerblades, skateboards and dogs will not be permitted.

  • Baby Buggies OK and wheelchairs are OK on 10km, 5km & 2.5km (there is 200 meters approximately of grass to finish on grass) but not suitable for half marathon

  • Competitors must not be accompanied by anyone who is not officially entered in the event.

  • Entrants who have registered to walk must walk.

  • Listening devices are not recommended for safety reasons.

  • Competitors must stay on the marked tracks for the various courses and always to the left and where instructed single file on narrow parts of the walkways.
